Admission to CHA High School is determined on the basis of parent and student questionnaires; adherence to the parent/student agreement; spiritual, character and academic references; student transcripts/report cards; placement testing; and a personal interview with parent/student. CHA generally does not accept students directly following expulsion, suspension or behavioral problems at another school. These standards are designed to allow students and their families to focus on their commitment towards choosing obedience in Christ in all aspects of life. CHA high is not a behavior “fix it” shop, but a place where those who desire to work hard in academics while following Jesus can do so in peace.
CHA is committed to provide a solid education that is Christian based. In order to accomplish this goal, CHA uses the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) program. CHA High uses the Bible curriculum from the (ACE) series because it is individualized. It allows each student to work at his own level of achievement, which may vary from subject to subject. Each student is diagnostically tested to determine current academic ability and indentify any learning gaps within each subject prior to placing the student in his/her curriculum. This insures that the student is working at his/her performance level, addressing the learning gaps rather than working at a frustration level.
CHA incorporates the ACE curriculum from 9th grade through 12th grade including college prep courses for those able to meet the increased challenge. High school English courses include Literature, Creative Writing and additional grammar drill and practice. Social studies courses cover World Geography, World History, American History, Civics and Economics. In the sciences, courses cover Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry and Physics. Electives include Electricity and Electronics Technology, Foreign Language, Keyboarding, Computer Applications, Art and many more. Christian Karate classes and tournaments are available and have become very popular among the students at CHA. Be sure and check out our Christian Karate page to learn more.
